Canada Day With GraphCom's Web/Multimedia Developer & a Bunch of Balloons

GraphCom Web/Multimedia Developer Alex Price is heading once again to Edmonton to join The Balloon Fairies. This time she and her winged cohorts will be sculpting balloons for delighted kiddies and adults at The City Market Canada Day Celebration with Circus Montreal as well as The City of Edmonton Canada Day celebrations.

GraphCom Writer at Special Olympics Fundraiser

GraphCom writer Dave Stewart is volunteering for his third year with the Special Olympics Festival taking place this Wednesday, June 27 at the Delta Prince Edward in Charlottetown. The $100 a plate event is the major fundraiser each year for Special Olympics PEI. Guests this year include Toronto Maple Leafs President/Gen Manager Brian Burke, Leafs Captain Dion Phaneuf, Dr. Frank Heyden, and many more. For information call 902-368-8919.

We Support Kayaking for Cancer

GraphCom is pleased to support Ashton MacNeill and Kenton Smallman in their fundraising kayak trip around PEI. In fact, we've put a website together for them. You can get more information and donate at kayakingforcancerpei.ca. All funds raised are going to the Cancer Treatment Centre at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.

New Guides Designed by GraphCom

The 2012 Arts & Heritage Trail Guide and the 2012 PEI Flavours Culinary Trail Guide are now out. GraphCom worked with the PEI Culinary Alliance on the former and TIAPEI, ACOA & the Department of Tourism and Culture on the latter to produce both guides. They are available at Visitor Information Centres, online and at outlets across PEI.

HC PROGRAMS on Hiatus

We're sorry to hear about two programs at Holland College being put on hiatus due to budget cuts. April Condon, an instructor in one of these programs - Interactive Multimedia - was a designer at GraphCom before returning to her alma mater. April is a stellar designer, and we know that the Island will be seeing a lot from her. In fact, you might recognize her design work for the band Bad Habits.
